The problem

The problem.png

Assupol is one of South Africa's most trusted insurance companies, with over 110 years of experience serving individuals and families across the country. Their field sales agents work across both developed urban areas and remote rural regions — often covering ground where mobile internet signals are unreliable or completely absent.

The problem was deeply operational: Assupol's entire sales application depended on constant internet connectivity. Every step of the policy onboarding process — from client ID verification to premium calculations to policy submission — required a live internet connection. When that connection dropped, so did the sale.

Agents were being forced to abandon digital workflows and fall back on paper-based applications mid-conversation with clients. This created data errors, compliance risks, frustrated agents, and most critically — lost clients who simply walked away when the process stalled.

This wasn't a minor inconvenience. It was a structural gap in the product that was actively costing the business revenue every single day.
